At the fourth ESG4PMChange Transnational Project Meeting in Athens, partners confirmed that five higher education institutions will pilot 15 courses on sustainable project management. The pilot includes 11 revised courses and four new ones, with around 635 students expected to take part. It will explore how students apply environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles when making project decisions.

The two-day meeting took place at the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos”. The University of Novi Sad coordinated the meeting, with European Academy as the local organiser. Partners formed a joint task force to oversee the course pilots and agreed that all five institutions would run their Virtual Living Labs during the same three-week period.
Partners also outlined a professional training programme that includes three days of in-person training in Volos for 26 participants. PM² Alliance presented a certification model comprising three micro-credentials. To assess what students and trainees learn and identify where the courses need improvement, partners will conduct surveys before and after the pilots, interview learners and hold a focus group with teaching staff.
Participants also explored SPM², a related project that prepares educators and trainers to teach sustainable project management. They tried one of its teaching activities in the “Door Design Challenge” workshop. Five regional groups also drafted plans to share the project’s findings with educational institutions and project management professionals in Serbia, Greece, Poland, Croatia and Italy.
