Graduate students at the University of Split’s Makarska Campus explored how ESG principles are shaping modern project management, with a special focus on the hospitality industry.

Connecting ESG with Crisis Management
As part of the Crisis Management in the Hospitality Industry course, the ESG4PMChange project was presented to second-year Master’s students of the Hotel Management and Gastronomy program. The session introduced the core concepts of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and highlighted their relevance in managing complex and uncertain environments within the hospitality sector.
Particular attention was given to the role of ESG in crisis preparedness, responsible decision-making, and long-term resilience in tourism and hospitality projects.

Introducing Future-Oriented Curricula
In addition to project insights, students were informed about the newly developed ESG-based project management curricula, designed to equip future professionals with competencies aligned with sustainability and industry needs.
The session aimed to encourage students to:
