An outreach and multiplier event in Zagreb brought together leading voices from project management education and lifelong learning, strengthening the visibility and impact of the ESG4PMChange project in Croatia.

Building Bridges Across Education and Practice

Organized by the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism Split – University of Split, with the participation of IPMA Croatia and EPALE Croatia representatives, the event focused on engaging key stakeholders in adult education and professional project management communities.

The goal was to raise awareness of the ongoing European effort to develop ESG-focused project management curricula and pedagogies, applicable to both university education and lifelong learning, while also encouraging stakeholder involvement in dissemination and long-term sustainability of project results.

Engaging Influential Stakeholders

The event gathered a carefully selected group of participants, including:

  • Researchers and policy actors in vocational and adult education
  • Academic experts in project management with ESG focus
  • Members of the project management education and certification community

By leveraging existing professional networks, the session created a shared understanding of how ESG4PMChange can contribute to advancing ESG competencies in project management education.

Strengthening Awareness and Future Opportunities

A key insight from the event was that many stakeholders were previously unaware of the project and its potential impact. Establishing this baseline awareness opened new opportunities for:

  • Multiplication of project results
  • Broader implementation across educational and professional frameworks
  • Stronger collaboration between academia and certification bodies

The event also builds on earlier outreach activities in the Western Balkans and sets the stage for further expansion in the region.

Ensuring Visibility and Continued Engagement

The outcomes of the event will be further disseminated through professional networks, including LinkedIn, ensuring continued visibility and engagement. Consistent use of project and EU branding reinforced recognition of ESG4PMChange as a relevant and impactful European initiative.

By connecting key actors across sectors, the event marked an important step toward embedding ESG principles into project management education and lifelong learning ecosystems in Croatia and beyond.
