An on-site training titled “Environmental Requirements Management in Enterprises – Including BDO, KOBIZE, Circular Economy, ESG, and CBAM” was held at the Business Incubator in Krosno, Poland. The event was organized by University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow (UITM) in cooperation with the Enterprise Europe Network South Poland and ESG experts.

The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of entrepreneurs, students, and institutional representatives to better understand and manage environmental regulatory requirements and sustainability strategies within Polish and EU frameworks. Special attention was given to practical compliance obligations related to BDO and KOBIZE reporting, the principles of the circular economy, ESG integration in business operations, and the upcoming Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).

Experts delivered applied insights supported by real-life case studies and practical tools that enterprises can use to align regulatory compliance with broader sustainability goals.

The event gathered a diverse group of participants, including SME representatives, business owners, project managers, students from environmental and economic study programs, as well as public sector representatives. Participants particularly valued the clarity with which complex legal frameworks were explained and the hands-on guidance provided throughout the training.

As part of the program, a dedicated session introduced the ESG4PMChange project. Participants learned about the project’s objectives, international scope, and its role in strengthening ESG competencies in project management education and practice. Project materials were shared, and the Erasmus+ partnership was highlighted during networking sessions. The presentation generated strong interest, with several attendees asking follow-up questions about future involvement and access to educational resources.
