How can investors assess the long-term sustainability of a tourism project? First-year master’s students in Tourism and Hospitality explored this question during a presentation of the Erasmus+ project ESG4PMChange at the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism, University of Split. The session formed part of the Investment in Tourism Industriescourse.

Students learned about the project’s objectives and discussed how environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles can guide the planning, evaluation and implementation of tourism investments. They considered how an investment’s effects on the environment and local communities, along with the way a project is governed, can influence its long-term viability.

Students took an active part in the discussion, exploring the risks and opportunities that investors should consider when making decisions. The session concluded with an interactive quiz on key ESG concepts and the objectives of ESG4PMChange.
